Hey, What's Villa del Levya?

One hundred miles north of Bogota lays what Rob and I described as the "Aspen" of Colombia. The town is clearly a retreat for the yuppie, sporty, and affluent to escape the city to a much simpler life for a while. I had heard that the city was a colonial village, however, we were amazed when we saw the whitewashed stucco walls, red clay tile roofs, and cobblestone streets.  The city is home to a budding adventure  sporting industry.  The Villa holds on to its charm with its cabbelleros, who for a small price, will put individuals on horseback that have no experience to run down two lowly backpackers in search of our hostel.
Hostel Everest we found through TripAdvisor, which is surprisingly the best source  of information on the small mom and pop run hostels and hotels. I may have renewed my liking for the site that caused  so many opportunities for me. These past years I've felt as the word TripAdvisor as a dirty one that usually  meant hours of responses and investigations. Anyhow, the hostel was a bit out of town by the Zona del Camping. The furnishings and design of the rooms and bathroom rivaled those of the finer hotels I've seen, but when you consider the price of 15 bucks per night (including breakfast) the comparison ends.
We found a hole in the wall restaurant for a fantastic perro caliente and a beer and life was good.
